Here are links to my Top 3 most-read posts of 2017, in case you missed any of them. Interestingly, they're all about Bethel Church in Redding, California, which is presently the most influential church in the New Apostolic Reformation.My post titled "The 'Christian' Tarot card controversy at Bethel Redding" was only published two weeks ago, and has already moved into the No. 2 spot. News about the existence and use of a Christianized version of Tarot cards--which has been reported on by many Christian sources--showed a lot of people just how far off track, scripturally speaking, things have gotten at Bethel. After being publicly exposed, Jenny Hodge of Christalignment, the organization that created the "Destiny Cards," has stated on a Facebook video that, in response to the criticism, her team will not only continue to use the cards, but they plan to double down on their use. And another member of Bethel's pastoral staff, Theresa Dedmon, has defended the use of the Destiny Cards and said that she herself uses her own version of them.But Bethel's promotion of New Age practices doesn't stop there. Since that story came to light, the children's pastor at Bethel Redding, Seth Dahl, posted a video of himself on Facebook promoting what can only be described as a Christianized version of telepathy.
